WOYWW – and it is The Last Day of The Year!!!!

It means a lot to me to be part of the WOYWW community, an international blog hop of wonderful people, that gave me a lot of inspiration. Thank you Julia Dunnit, for all the effort and work you put into this project called „What´s On Your Workdesk Wednesday“. On my workdesk is the usual lovely mess and it shows you what I am working with. Practically everything. I inherited many, many old photoalbums from my MIL, which I am going to fill with wewillsee.

This year has gone by so quickly, I cannot believe it is the last day already. It was packed with incidents and accidents, good and not so good. Some beloved relative and friends left us this year. Many sad moments.

On the private side I could do with a bit more health and energy, so could my hubbie, he had a heart attack which surely frightened us. Since several weeks we have one cold after another and hope to get rid of it soon. But you all know, the weather is going crazy and seems to do its share. That´s what it looks outside:

But also I learned a lot and I met wonderful people! This makes my life so very rich! A big excitement for me came from Norway. Bibi Lindahl´s Rubber Dance Art Stamps: I joined the Rubber Dance Design Team. Being the only none stamper in this terrific group of super talents it meant a great honour to me. I found out, I can have it all – stamping and painting all in one project and it is a perfect combination. And the most exciting event was my trip to Norway to meet Bibi!! She is the most wonderful person and we had a GREAT time together. Thank you so much Bibi!!! Here is the post.

Putting it altogether, I would say it is balanced. More positive – because I want it to be that way.  I found my word for next year, it is S*P*A*R*K*L*E ! To me it means that I benefit from what I learned this year and yes – sparkle. Things will come easier to me (I hope) and will be bright! As I already mentioned I want to work on my journals and already started:

I want to say thank you to all the busy bees out there making our digital life a bit brighter and nicer. Very special thanks to Froebelsternchen Susi and Piarom and their pages Moo Mania, Art Journal Journey and Mix it Monthly.

Froebelsternchen Susi and Piarom are also members of Traummalzeit a German speaking Facebook group with mostly European members. The reason for this group is to share experiences and problems like getting certain materials (US stuff is usually more expensive here due to shipping) and of course share our works and chat and have fun. If you are interested, please comment and leave your mail address, so I can answer you.

I wish you a wonderful and happy New Year with lots of SPARKLE!!

Gabriele

Having you come visit me in Norway was absolutely one of the biggest highlights this year, Gabriele! 😀 I really appreciate all my online friends, but meeting in person is always a 100 times better. I look forward to the next time! ❤
Love seeing your busy (not messy) work desk as always, and your paintings are awesome!! The photo of the bird and insect feeders is adorable. As you know, I also have a view of bird feeders out of my studio window and I can sit here watching the birds forever and forget what I was supposed to do….. but then again, if I was supposed to relax and enjoy life, I'd say mission completed! 🙂
Here's to a healthier and even happier and very creative 2015 for us all! ❤

That cow page is just adorable. My Grandma collected all sorts of cows. It was so fun to visit her little house full of them. Best wishes for the new year 🙂 Shel#39

I hope your husband continues to heal and feel better every day. We have so many reasons to be thankful for every day we have to live, love, and create! This is my first bad cold in quite a while, and it is not fun at all–but I’m drinking hot tea. Have a wonderful new year and thanks for your sweet visit. Sandy Leigh #27

Lovely art work, Gabriele. So sorry to hear about your hubby’s heart attack – I had one in the summer and it certainly is a wake-up call, and I felt awful putting an extra burden of worry onto my poor hubby who has enough on his plate caring for Mum! 2014 was a tough year in many ways but we are all hoping for better things in the year to come, I think. I like the idea of Sparkle! I could do with some of that!!

Happy New Year and happy WOYWW,

Hi Gabriele, Oof, you had some stuff happening this year! I hope your husband is better now, you don’t say how long ago that was. What a scare! Health is precious.
I’m interested in you Traummalzeit group as I too find it difficult to source materials. My German is not very good but I can read German and with the help of a dictionary and your tolerance for my total lack of grammar, we’ll be able to understand each other. My email address is liscameijer@rocketmail.com
Thank you for stopping at mine and for the lovely comment,
Happy New Year to you and yours,

Oh, I passionately love these two pictures, love this style of painting.
The cool cat and outraged lamb are so amusing, and the cow is darling but the words are sad.
