Tartantags by Art-a-tag

Hi peeps. Cough, cough, sneeeeeze!!! Yes, I have a terrible cold! That is why I am writing a quite short post for all you nice WOYWW people, sorry, but my head feels like a pudding. Do puddings feel a pain????? Anyone experience with that?

Well, I do not want to disappoint you and so I just show you what I did until this cold came. I made some Christmas tags. I made them for a Rubber Dance post, and I like them so much, I want to show them here also.

woyww285

You saw part of them last week already, but now I will show you some better photos in a little slide show. Have fun!

Clever you with the slideshow. Love your tags in oranges and greens – nice and Christmassy.
Sorry to hear about your cold, hot drinks and rest is the order of the next few days. Not sure if ‚rest‘ allows for crafting – maybe you need sleep.
Take care of yourself anyhow – Hugs, & Thanks for visiting me earlier – Neet 27 x (and thanks for the compliments – I don’t look like that now, a bit older)

Beautiful tags, Gabriele. I love how you’ve used very different colours from the usual red and green. They are really striking, and the Rubberdance stamps are beautiful too.

Thanks for your lovely comment – soaps are really easy to make. We use a glycerine-based soap base and the technique is called „melt and pour“ which is exactly what you do – melt it in the microwave and pour it into a mould. Dead easy! The creative part comes with the additions, and with layering, and embedding etc. Tonight at the class we made natural soaps with fragrance from natural essential oils, and natural colours, and botanicals. I shall be posting tomorrow about it, hopefully. None of these things should upset a sensitive skin.

Tyvek is fabulous when heated – it distorts and bubbles and is wonderful when painted, either before or after melting. You can make lovely beads with it. It also cuts beautifully on a cutting machine, and it is very strong and will not tear, so it’s good for binding hand-made books etc. It takes paint very well.

    Happy WOYWW,

Your tags are beautiful Gabriele, I love the unusual colours, and who doesn’t associate tartan with Christmas? Yeah, it’s a bit cold here, quite early for the temperature but at least we don’t have feet of snow like those poor people in New York State. We’re supposed to warm up again at the weeken, so I should get back in my craft room again! Have a wonderul weekend.

Thanks for your visit, Gabriele, and your very nice comments. I’m sorry about your cold — so many people have it and it does sound nasty! It has been cold, but not as cold as it gets here. We have not had the cruel snowstorms that our neighbours to the south have experienced, so I won’t complain about feeling chilly. The small amount of snow that we got here is Christmassy and nice. Feel better soon. I do love your tags. They are really lovely. 🙂

hi Gabrielle. I hope you are recovering from your cold and feeling much better. Your tags are beautiful. I especially like the pop of the white lettering and tree branch. I also like seeing the slide show. I may have to play around and see if I can create one of those sometime.

I’m slowly making my way around to desks. Thank you for visiting me earlier!
    Happy belated WOYWW,
