Normally I don´t just cut out snippets from a magazine and glue it together, I rather combine it with a lot of painting. But I saw so many great collages during the last weeks, so I thought I might give it a try. Here are the first two results. A little altered book (a Tupperware receipe book) where I am going to try out, how I get along. I am not sure yet, if this is my cup of tea, because I tend to get too graphical and stringent, I do not know, if this is good.
I like what you’ve done here! Collage has never been a strong point for me. I find I spend too much time choosing and placing rather than just letting go. You should persevere! You always have a good eye for composition. 🙂
Thank you so much Alison! I agree with you, but while doing this, I felt I look differently at colours, also structures, but mostly colours. So this would be a great medium to learn more about the „worth“ and reaction of colours. And – I have a huge stack of old magazines……
You are on the right track! Keep going!
Thank you Tammy!
These are both really well done…nice strong colors with dramatic images.

Thank you so much Lynn!
Great collages! The second spread is my favorite… can’t wait to see more collages from you 🙂
Thank you Jana! I am surprised that I am doing this, but somehow I get to like the process. There will be more to come..
OH I enjoy the red one with the little girl and the stars. Wonderful feeling that it invokes.

Thank you for your kind comment, Dawn!
These are great. It’s fun to find new ways to explore – it helps keep everything fresh.
I have been trying to push myself with collage. I am going to concentrate on that for ICAD this year. I love your colours and strong composition.
Also, yes I did do a course (or two) with Mindy Lacefield (Tim’s Sally). 🙂
